With the Aero Infinity series, Blackfin has already redefined minimalism in the rimless segment. Now, its titanium engineering transcends a new frontier with a radical approach that fuses late-19th-century retro aesthetics with an ultra-contemporary constructive vision.
With the launch of Aero Loop, Blackfin embodied minimalism in its purest form. Almost imperceptible on the face, these rimless frames were the first to incorporate a titanium micro-hinge (inspired by aeronautical rivets) concealed behind a patented lens fastener that eliminated any protrusion on the front. A design that immediately ensured the effect of total invisibility on the face, combining modern aesthetics and structural integrity.
The Infinity series elevates the concepts underlying Aero Loop with the use of full-titanium components. The exquisite fusion of artisan virtuosity and obsessive attention to detail breathes life into extremely elegant styles, sculpted with precision and finished by hand. Polished and satin-finish surfaces interact with light, intensifying the perception of exclusivity, while distinctive details express a superior level of refinement – delivering tangible value and immediate recognizability.
Today, this evolution reaches its apex. Defined by a retro-futuristic design, the new Aero Infinity styles radicalize the concept of less is more, introducing an architecture of absolute purity. Every superfluous element is stripped away to reveal the essential. In a gesture that looks to history to shape the future, Blackfin reinterprets the nose support of late-19th-century eyewear, abandoning conventional nose pads altogether. The bridge is no longer an applied component but a seamless continuation of the material itself – sculpted to ensure impeccable comfort and remarkable stability, while preserving an exceptionally clean visual profile.
The shapes – Oval, Round and Panto – are pure geometries, elevated by finishes that alternate Brushed Light Gold and Shiny Silver. Each surface is meticulously hand-worked by the artisans of the Black Shelter, creating a tactile and visual contrast that further underscores the frame’s personality.
Every pair of Blackfin eyewear has been designed and crafted since 1971 at the Black Shelter Sustainable Factory, in the heart of the Dolomite Mountains. Far from the mainstream, this place is a tangible declaration of radical independence – a conscious choice of creative and production autonomy. It is here that Blackfin works with respect and dedication, driven by the conviction that true creativity can only exist in total freedom.
