Blackfin Sun | The new Spring - Summer 2023 collection

3 March 2023

The new Blackfin sun collection for Spring/Summer 2023 marries style and innovation, expanding upon its exclusive titanium processing technical skills.

Extremely high-tech micromechanical processes obtain fronts from a 3-mm-thick block of titanium. Micro-engraving along the edges of the fronts creates elegant line details that decorate the entire circumference of the front. This level of craftsmanship accentuates the technical DNA of a unique design.
The contrast between matte colors and polished details emphasizes the artisan mastery applied to the color process, one of the most delicate stages of processing, carried out entirely by hand at the Black Shelter facility. The added style detail of gradient photochromic lenses means the glasses can be worn under any light conditions, even indoors.

There are three SS23 models. Reminiscent of a navigator, Wanderlust features an engraved texture around the edges of the front, repeated along the double bridge. The color combinations of polished silver or matte army green paired with metallic navy blue or matte black with gradient lenses highlight the double thickness of the titanium. This style is also available in a Black Edition version with Champagne Light Gold Nano-Plating™ finish and brown gradient photochromic lenses.

Copeland expresses the same stylistic and craftsmanship concepts but in a larger teardrop shape. It comes in three colorways – black/green, blue/silver, black/silver – all fashioned for harmony of line in the frames. The black/silver version has smoke gradient photochromic lenses.

Crescent Moon, on the other hand, is decidedly feminine. The striking generous squared front is accentuated by broad edges that become slender as they near the bridge. Here, too, the colors are contrasting and all the lenses are gradient.
